Structure of the SNOWMAN project

The project is implemented in 7 Work Packages (WP):

• WP1 - Management
  ...ensures the successful achievement of project goals and delivery of the results.
   
• WP2 - Database
  ...is dedicated to the collection of information about national R&D programmes.
   
• WP3 - Vision Paper
  ...established Vision and common ground for the programmes.
   
• WP4 - Integration
  ...implements processes of stepwise integration of programmes including the execution of SNOWMAN's coordinated call for research.
   
• WP5 - Interfaces
  ...works on SNOWMAN's communication to achieve a broad dissemination of generated knowledge.
   
• WP6 - Research Programme
  ...establishes a SNOWMAN Research Programme on soil and groundwater.
   
• WP7 - Evaluation
  ...identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the developed model and improves the mechanisms and documents used.
   

Current status

The SNOWMAN Work Packages "Database", "Vision Paper" and several tasks of the "Integration" Work Package have already been successfully implemented.

The foucs of the SNOWMAN consortium is now especially on the tasks of

• ongoing servicing of the funded ressearch projects via the Call Secretariat,
• ongoing communication activities,
• the implementation of SNOWMAN's Action Plan for Dissemination,
• the preparation of a second trans-national call
• an improvement of the tools and procedures to be used for the second call of SNOWMAN
• an enlargement of the SNOWMAN funders group, and
• the establishing of a SNOWMAN Research Programme.
